After reviewing this new business move by Macy’s, I feel it is a desperate shot in the dark. They are cutting more help, they are going to have regional Operations Managers. 1 Ops for 3 or more stores. How can a business of their size be run with regionals always on the move. Small stores, and fast food restaurants can operate this way, but no Large company does this. The plan is doomed to failure and that will manifest itself soon enough. In reality it is a desperate move by a company that has no idea what they are doing. Good luck with customer service this summer… I feel that will be the saddest casualty of this move.
